The City of Florence hosts its annual "Celebrate Independence Day" event on July 3rd at the Florence Government Center (8100 Ewing Blvd.). This family-friendly celebration, will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., features live music, food trucks, children's activities, and a spectacular fireworks display at 10:00 p.m. Free to the public, the event draws residents and visitors for a patriotic evening sponsored by local businesses like Heritage Bank and Florence Mall.

A dazzling show by Elite Pyrotechnics at 10:00 p.m., visible from Ewing Boulevard and Mall Road. Rain date: July 4th.

- 2018–2019: Held at UC Health Stadium with rides, a Cruise-In, and bands like DV8, attracting over 3,000 attendees.
- 2022: Fireworks-only display launched from the Department of Public Services Maintenance Building.
- 2023–2024: Full-scale event at the Government Center with expanded food trucks and live music.
